LuLu’s at Homeport Marina to Receive First-Ever Dauphin Island Sea Lab Seventh Generation Award

This fun-filled family event includes a variety of environmentally-themed children’s activities; an Open House at the Research Facilities of the DISL where the public meets the scientists and graduate students to see their ongoing research projects; and free kids’ admission to the Estuarium, the aquarium at the Sea Lab.

USCG Aviation Training Rescue will demonstrate a thrilling water rescue with a helicopter.  Azalea Trail Maids will be on-hand to greet visitors.  The City of Mobile Police Department will provide children’s fingerprinting kits.  Local agencies will be on-hand with loads of fun kids’ activities and information about conserving our local environment.

The DISL will be awarding its first ever Seventh Generation Award for innovative environmental practices to LuLu’s at the Homeport Marina.  Owner Lucy Buffet and General Manager Johnny Fisher will be on hand to accept the award.

Admission is free (except for reduced Adult Estuarium admission), and educational fun is plentiful at this popular annual event.
