WANTED - High School Students Interested In Marine Science…

Come and join fellow high schoolers from across the country to live, sleep and eat marine biology (well, not literally).  For 4 fun-filled weeks, you will learn about and explore Dauphin Island’s coastal and marine habitats, taking boat trips to Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, tromping through the salt marsh, snorkeling in the seagrass beds and learning that there are worms underyour feet when you stand on the shore!

This course is hands-on!  Students spend a lot of time in the field and in the laboratory, and conduct a short research project.  You can even earn science elective credit for school!  Spend a month of your summer living ‘on the island’ and making great friends.  Use the experience to help stand out from the crowd on your college essay.

Go to the website (http://dhp.disl.org/highschooolsummer.htm) to get more information and download the application.  You can even see the students’ blog from last year.  This is an awesome experience for students interested in marine science!
