Dr. Hilborn specializes in natural resource management and conservation. He is a member of such distinguished panels as the Scientific Advisory Panel for the President’s Commission on Ocean Policy, The Ocean Studies Board of the National Research Council, and the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna.
Dr. Bob Shipp, Chair of the Department of Marine Sciences at USA, states, “In this era of global concern, but oftentimes hyperbole, about collapsing world fisheries, Dr. Hilborn is a voice of reason, a voice with the backing of hard facts and careful analysis. He has successfully challenged many of the careless predictions made by those whose motives are suspect.” |
